Does your name in live chat look like a barcode or bot? YouTube just updated the chat logic. Display names are gone. You’re now only your ad handle. Don’t want to be at user 123? Fix it right now. Go to studio.YouTube.com. Click on customization on the left side. Then hit the basic info tab. Here’s your handle. Make it readable. You have 3 to 30 characters. Letters, numbers, underscores, and dots are fine, but no URLs, and no phone numbers. And be careful. You can only change this twice every 14 days.
So, if you make a typo, you’re stuck with it for 2 weeks. Hit publish and you’re human again.
