your next VTuber Identity
Become a unique VTuber and get set up for success, with kw.media
We are not an agency like Hololive or Nijisanji.
We believe that one of the best things about YouTube is broadcasting yourself, free of external schedules or imposed content restrictions.
That said, we will do our best to help you succeed. When ordering a model from us, you get a free month of kw.media basic, during which we’ll help you set up your channel and get you going. This include tips to help you protect your privacy and a rough gameplan for your first year of VTubing.
While there are many options, we recommend the following options:
- VSeeFace is a free, high quality virtual webcam which allows VTubers to place their avatar on stream.
- VRchat is, as the name implies, first and foremost a VR application in which you can meet other people, play some games, etc. For VTubers, it offers a unique way to interact with a virtual world and make “IRL”-like content.
Visemes are the mouth movements you make when you speak. With Visemes, you can both use mouth tracking or audio recognition to make mouth movements for you.
Definitely! Switching out hair and clothing or adding eye shapes and facial expressions is something we can do. Just contact us!
Definitely not, for three reasons:
- Firstly, you’ll get to be a VTuber and be able to express yourself in entirely new ways. This alone is worth a whole lot.
- Secondly, while there now are more VTubers (or YouTubers generally) than a few years ago, there also are more viewers.
- Thirdly, not all VTubers are equally entertaining or good at marketing themselves.
Simply having a good concept puts you ahead of many, many VTubers and YouTubers – and that is exactly what we can help you with.
FBX (short for Filmbox) is a general-purpose 3D model exchange format from 2006, which can be used with VRchat.
VRM is a file format designed for humanoid virtual avatars and widely supported across VTuber software.
ARkit is a technology which uses infrared rays to scan your face and use it for motion capture. It offers better tracking and resolution than using a normal webcam for face tracking.
Rigging is the process of attaching a mesh (ie the visible part of a 3D model) to virtual bones. In it’s basic form, this is a pretty straight-forward process – eg your model’s underarm gets attached to the underarm bone.
With more advanced rigging, this can be made more lifelike though: “Floppy” parts like cat/dog ears, tails, breasts and clothing can be made to react to physics or move together with other parts of your virtual body.
