Understanding YouTube Handles and Aliases

Discover how YouTube's handles and aliases work. Learn to redirect users easily with custom URLs, channel IDs, and new handle options.

Transcript

YouTube has multiple ways to redirect users to your channel. So far, there was the link with your channel ID, a link with your custom URL or channel name, and now you can also use up to 30 alphanumeric characters including hyphens, underscores, and periods. If you already have a custom URL, it will automatically generate a handle. If you want to create a handle or change an existing one, you can do so at YouTube.com/handle.
