Hey there, it’s January 28, 2023. My name is Martin, I’m the YouTube Creator. Today, we’re discussing fantastic YouTube updates. Just a reminder: starting February 1st, YouTube Shorts monetization will be available to all Creators in the YouTube Partner Program. So, if you haven’t sorted out your paperwork yet, now is a great time to start using Shorts and activate the Shorts Monetization module so you can participate in Shorts ads from February 1st onwards.

Let’s also talk about the Managing Moderators. They are essentially a step above YouTube Live Chat Moderators and I think they are definitely a valuable addition to the YouTube Live space. What can they do? They can appoint and remove other moderators, switch chat modes, and customize the list of words that are filtered out in the live chat. I think this is a very useful feature and I also believe that there’s more to come in the future. We’ll discuss what that is when the time comes.
