The extra ranking field in the Studio dashboard can now be optionally hidden. It’s not critical, but a nice option. It’s about displaying the ranking of an individual video within the last 10 videos. Whether you’ve performed well or less well, YouTube decides whether you want to display this or not. Therefore, it is now displayed side by side, instead of one below the other, including the ranking.

Question for you: Do you turn off the ranking or leave it on? Please give a reason. Let’s stay with the analytics: In the mobile analytics, you can now click on the views graph and get a comment from YouTube that relates to the selected period. For example, if you have the weekly view, you will receive a message such as: “Your videos have achieved this many views in the last week because you were suggested more than usual” or “You uploaded less than usual, so you see fewer views here.” This also applies to the monthly view or the last 28 days.

On the channel page, you can now sort by oldest videos again, which wasn’t possible for a while. You could only sort by “Recently uploaded” and “Popular videos”. Now the sorting works as expected again with the filter chips. You can now view your old videos again, which I personally always find quite nice to look back and see how the channel has developed.

Furthermore, I have a small experiment for you: Currently, 1% of vertical streamers are being pushed into the shop feed. 1% is a good number, and it is possible that this feature will be rolled out to a broader audience in September. There are different groups of vertical streamers: tool streamers who offer a vertical stream in addition to their horizontal stream, and native vertical streamers who simply take their phone and stream, as you know it from TikTok.

It’s about helping both groups with streaming and providing resources. What information and resources would you like to have to get started with YouTube streaming? For double streamers, those who stream both horizontally and vertically, there are special requests, such as a link between the streams or the use of the same chat ID, so that the chat is identical in both streams.
