What this tool does
Image Morph turns two local images into a single animation whose outlines stay crisp from the first frame to the last. A plain cross-dissolve stacks both pictures on top of each other, doubles every line and averages the colours toward grey. This tool instead computes signed distance fields for each picture, blends the fields and redraws the silhouette from the blended result. Parts with no partner in the other picture shrink away and regrow rather than lingering as a ghost. The output is a finished clip with an alpha channel that drops straight onto footage in Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
Using it is deliberate and simple: choose the first and second image, scrub or play the transition in the preview, then set the timing the same way as in SVG Morph: hold at start, morph duration and hold at end. The interpolation offers the same ten curves as its sister tool, from a linear tween through smooth and sine ease in-out, ease-in and ease-out, exponential fast variants and snap, to overshoot and anticipate. The tone levels control how many brightness bands travel as silhouettes of their own, the background can stay transparent, keep each image's own paper or become a solid colour, and an optional return morph brings the clip back to the first image so it loops without a cut.
PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and SVG are accepted, along with any other format your browser can decode. Logos, icons, line art and other flat artwork work best, which is exactly the material that optical-flow morphs in editing software fail on. The video is written with an alpha channel as ProRes 4444, QuickTime Animation or PNG in QuickTime for the edit, as WebM VP8 for the web and OBS, or without transparency as MP4 H.264 for social media, at 360 to 1080 pixels on the long edge and 24 to 60 frames per second.
