Missing Macros in Audacity 4.0? Here is the Solution!

Audacity 4.0 does not feature macros. However, Sound Scaper, our web port of Audacity 4, does have some support for them.

To set up your macro, go to Tools > Macro Manager, then click the plus icon to add a new macro. On the right side, you can now add various effects to your macro; click on the effect itself to open its settings. You can then click “Run Macro” to execute it on the current selection.

Changes to macros are saved automatically. You can also import and export macros from Audacity 3.

However, currently only effects inside the macros are honored. This may change in the future, so subscribe to this channel to be the first to learn about it.
